Engineering Team Leader- Chilled

We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader for our Chilled division to help us maintain our high standards in production and equipment performance. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled engineers in ensuring that our chilled production machinery operates at optimal efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement activities for chilled production machinery.
• Lead a team of engineers to carry out preventive maintenance and respond rapidly to equipment issues.
• Implement and promote health and safety practices, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production teams to assess equipment needs and address performance issues.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members to enhance their technical skills.
• Maintain documentation related to maintenance activities and equipment performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and productivity.

• Significant experience in an engineering leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a chilled food production environment.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems relevant to chilled production operations.
• Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and collaboration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical approach to problem resolution.
• Keen awareness of health and safety regulations applicable to engineering practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and communicate clearly with diverse teams.
• Week 1, Monday to Friday- 7am till 4pm
• Week 2, Sunday- 7am till 4pm, Monday to Thursday 2:30am to 11pm
• Hourly paid £26 an hour, overtime at time and a quarter
