About the role

Our client is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support maintenance, installation, commissioning and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and operating efficiently while supporting wider engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

* Support planned and reactive maintenance across production equipment

* Fault find and repair mechanical and electrical systems

* Assist with installation, relocation and commissioning of machinery

* Support automation upgrades and process improvements

* Carry out fabrication, fitting and equipment adjustments

* Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions

* Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams

* Support contractors during service and installation work

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

* Contribute to continuous improvement and site performance

About you (requirements)

* Experience in a hands-on engineering or maintenance role

* Strong fault-finding ability (mechanical and/or electrical)

* Background in manufacturing or production environments

* Proactive approach to safety and improvement

* Able to work independently and within a team
