The Role
This is a brilliant opportunity for an English ECT to join a high-performing department in a school that genuinely values literature, language, and creativity. You will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of Key Stage 5 as your experience develops. The department offers a collaborative approach, with well-resourced schemes of work, regular planning time, and strong SLT backing.

The Candidate
The school is looking for a driven and enthusiastic English ECT who is eager to make an impact. You should have:

  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • QTS or be on track to achieve it by September 2025
  • A genuine love for literature, language, and storytelling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
