English ECT Manchester

A well-regarded secondary school in Trafford is seeking an English ECT from September 2026.

• English ECT required from September 2026.


• Manchester (Urmston Area) – Mainstream Secondary School.


• Seeking a teacher with strong knowledge of literature, oracy and creative writing.

You will teach English across KS3–KS4, contributing to whole-school literacy, reading programmes and creative writing enrichment. The role requires adaptability, creativity and strong classroom presence.

Experience & Qualifications

• QTS (or pending) essential.


• Degree in English Literature, English Language or related field.


• Experience planning engaging lessons suited to diverse learners.


• Interest in literacy projects and reading initiatives.
