The Role
As an English Graduate, you may work as a:
Teaching Assistant Literacy Support Assistant Academic Mentor Learning Support Assistant SEND Teaching Assistant Intervention Tutor Reading Mentor You'll gain invaluable experience by:
Supporting students on a one-to-one and small-group basis. Delivering literacy and reading interventions. Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and communication. Supporting learners with SEND, Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional learning needs. Assisting teachers in delivering engaging classroom lessons. Encouraging student engagement and positive learning behaviours. Working alongside teachers, SEND teams and pastoral staff. Building positive relationships that support academic progress and wellbeing. Every day presents the opportunity to inspire students, build essential educational skills and make a lasting difference to young people's futures.

We're Looking For
A degree in English Literature, English Language, Creative Writing or a related subject. A genuine passion for supporting young people. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A positive, patient and adaptable approach. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential. Whether you've tutored, volunteered, mentored students or worked with young people in another setting, we'd love to hear from you.
