About the Role

Are you an English graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching?

We're recruiting an enthusiastic and confident English Graduate Cover Supervisor to support local secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a PGCE, teacher training, or a long-term career in education.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, including English.
Engage and motivate students using your strong communication and literacy skills.
Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
Support students with classwork and encourage independent learning.
Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.
No teaching qualification is required—just confidence, adaptability, and a passion for working with young people.

What We're Looking For

A degree in English or a related subject.
Experience working with young people in the UK (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching or youth work).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Confidence managing a classroom.
A proactive, professional and adaptable approach.
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
