This is a permanent, full-time position-an exciting opportunity to join a committed teaching team and play a key role in helping students achieve their full potential in English.

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English, supporting a diverse cohort of learners.
• Plan and prepare schemes of work, learning materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
• Track and support student progress, maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and classroom management.
• Provide tailored feedback and academic guidance to ensure learners achieve their individual goals.
• Contribute to team meetings, curriculum development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven experience teaching English, with strong subject knowledge and an understanding of Functional Skills and GCSE delivery.
• Previous experience in a lecturer or teaching role within a college or similar educational setting.
• Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• A teaching qualification (desirable) or willingness to work towards one.
• A current DBS registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
