The Role
Deliver engaging GCSE and/or Functional Skills English lessons Support learners with reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills Plan and deliver inclusive and effective teaching sessions Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback Prepare learners for exams and assessments Create a positive and supportive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience teaching English Strong subject knowledge in English and literacy Ability to engage and support post-16 learners Strong communication and classroom management skills Flexible and reliable approach Desirable:
Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET) Experience within Further Education or secondary education Experience delivering GCSE or Functional Skills English Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Coming from schools? We welcome applications from secondary English teachers looking to move into FE.
