About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and challenging English Literature lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, including GCSE and A-Level.


• Develop and implement lesson plans that cover a wide range of literary genres and periods.


• Facilitate student-led discussions, debates, and presentations on literary texts.


• Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.


• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the English Literature curriculum.


• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as literature clubs and theatre visits.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English Literature.


• Extensive experience teaching English Literature to GCSE and A-Level.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.


• A passion for fostering a love of literature and developing critical thinking skills.
