About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, ensuring students develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for English, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles.

• Foster a passion for literature and language, encouraging students to think critically and creatively.

• Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support exam preparation.

• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, progress, and achievement.

• Contribute to curriculum development and the enhancement of the English department.

• Support extracurricular activities, such as debating clubs, writing workshops, and theatre visits.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an English Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching English across Key Stages 3, 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.

• Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.

• Possesses strong classroom management and communication skills.

• Is committed to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their potential.

• Is dedicated to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
