Role Description:

• Plan and deliver stimulating English lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, with the possibility to teach KS5 for those with relevant experience

• Inspire learners to develop skills in reading comprehension, creative and analytical writing, and critical thinking

• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring inclusivity and engagement

• Support extracurricular initiatives such as literary societies, writing workshops, and public speaking clubs

• Work alongside colleagues to continually improve teaching strategies and curriculum delivery

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in English education

• Solid understanding of the secondary English curriculum and effective instructional techniques

• Passionate about fostering achievement and inclusion for diverse student groups

• Strong classroom leadership skills and the ability to build positive student relationships

• Open to professional development and reflective practice

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will receive comprehensive support through induction and mentoring programmes.
