We are working with a number of secondary schools across Kettering who are seeking dedicated and creative English Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These are full-time positions, with both long-term and permanent roles available depending on your experience and career goals.

Role Responsibilities:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with opportunities for KS5 in some schools)

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that foster a love of literature and language

• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback and intervention where necessary

• Support the development of key literacy and communication skills

• Contribute to the wider English department through curriculum planning and enrichment

• Encourage creativity, confidence, and independent learning in every student

• Uphold high standards of teaching and behaviour in line with the school's values

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent

• Confident teaching English across the secondary age range

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

• Excellent classroom management skills and a student-centred approach

• Committed to continuous professional development and team collaboration

• Suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
