English Teacher

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Wakefield to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality English education and inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress
Contributing positively to the English department and wider school community
Upholding high standards of behaviour and learning in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Be enthusiastic, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staffECTs are encouraged to apply, as are experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.
