About the Role:

Cover People are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a supportive secondary school based in Cheetham Hill, Manchester starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum! 

Our school are more than happy to support ECT's with an assigned mentor within the school, offering a welcoming environment for all Teachers with their English department. 

We're looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher with experience teaching AQA English, however if you've taught other Syllabus then we'd be happy to send across resources ahead of your placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum standards
• Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Support the academic and personal development of all learners

Requirements:
• QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
• Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE English (AQA preference)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management
• A passion for teaching and pupil progress
• Right to work in the UK
