The Role - English Teacher

As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking and analytical skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering English Language and Literature lessons across the secondary curriculum
Adapting teaching to support different abilities, including students with SEND
Developing vocabulary, extended writing and confident discussion
Assessing understanding and providing purposeful feedback
Preparing students for assessments and examinations
Maintaining clear expectations and a positive classroom environment
Working with departmental colleagues to share resources and effective practiceThe successful English Teacher will combine strong subject knowledge with the ability to make challenging texts accessible and relevant.
