English teacher- Bristol

A well-established and inclusive secondary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love for language and literature while supporting all learners to achieve their full potential.

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback

• Maintain strong classroom behaviour and a positive learning atmosphere

• Contribute to the wider school community and departmental planning

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

• Strong subject knowledge and passion for English language and literature

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

• A commitment to student development and achievement

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
