Are you a newly qualified English Teacher (ECT) ready to kick-start your teaching journey? We’re supporting a well-established secondary school in Southend-on-Sea to find a driven and enthusiastic English ECT for a full-time, permanent role starting September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Use innovative and inclusive teaching strategies to support all learners.
• Participate in the school’s ECT induction and mentoring programme.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting lessons as needed.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Support the ethos and values of the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant degree and PGCE (or equivalent).
• QTS or expected QTS by September 2025.
• No prior classroom experience required—enthusiasm and commitment are key.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• A growth mindset and a passion for professional learning.
• Dedication to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
• A love for English and the desire to share that passion with students.
