English Teacher - Elite All Girls' School in Kensington

Do you have a passion for igniting a love of literature and language in students?

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified English Teacher to join a thriving department at a well-established, independent school in Kensington. This is a full-time, temporary position for the academic year starting September 2024.

The Role:

• Delivering engaging and challenging lessons for GCSE and/or A-Level English, fostering a love of the subject.


• Creating a stimulating learning environment that caters to a diverse range of learners.


• Employing a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.


• Accurately assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to students.


• Contributing to the development and implementation of the English curriculum.


• Participating in departmental meetings and collaborating with colleagues.


• Encouraging a love of reading and fostering a culture of literacy within the school.


• Potential involvement in the school's co-curricular activities related to English.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in GCSE and/or A-Level English.


• An enthusiastic and inspirational individual with a passion for the English language and literature.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.


• The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.


• A strong commitment to student progress and achievement.


• Experience in utilising technology to enhance teaching and learning is desirable.
