The Position

As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and inspiring a lifelong love of literature and language. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving English department and deliver engaging and enriching lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.


• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.


• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.


• Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and wider school community to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.


• Stay abreast of current educational research and pedagogical approaches through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in English Language, Literature, or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching English at the secondary level, preferably across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

• Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
