The successful candidate will cultivate a passion for literature and language in students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16), developing their critical thinking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a diverse range of literary texts and language concepts.


• Prepare students effectively for GCSE English Language and Literature examinations, nurturing their analytical and writing abilities.


• Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages thoughtful discussion and articulate expression of ideas.


• Assess and monitor student progress in English, providing insightful feedback to support their literary and linguistic development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in English Language and Literature.


• Demonstrated experience teaching English Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.


• A strong and comprehensive knowledge of English literature, language, and effective teaching methodologies.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a love of reading and writing in students.
