A dynamic and inclusive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wandsworth is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. Role Highlights:

• Full-time, permanent position at a vibrant PRU in Wandsworth


• Teach English to small classes of students with a variety of additional needs


• Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students


• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated


• Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development


• Track student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly


• Promote literacy skills and help students develop confidence in their academic abilities

Experience & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent


• Experience teaching English, ideally in a PRU or alternative provision setting


• Strong understanding of behaviour management and strategies for working with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs


• A creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues


• Enhanced DBS check required
