English Tutor for Cleaning Operatives- SELF EMPLOYED

Location: Various across London

Reports to: Various contract managers on sites
 

Job Purpose:

To deliver practical and accessible English language lessons tailored to cleaning operatives, helping them improve communication skills relevant to their work environment and daily interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver English lessons focused on workplace vocabulary, safety instructions, and everyday communication.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit learners with varying levels of English proficiency.
• Use real-life scenarios and materials from the cleaning industry to enhance learning.
• Encourage speaking practice in a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to learners and management.
• Collaborate with supervisors to align lessons with operational needs and health & safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Recognised English teaching qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience teaching adult learners or workplace English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to create a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.

Desirable:

• Multilingual skills or experience working with learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in vocational or workplace-based education.
