Salary: £200-£270 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications

We are currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated English / Humanities Teacher for a school in the Greenford area of West London. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to deliver engaging lessons, inspire students and support pupils in achieving their academic potential.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging English and/or Humanities lessons across the relevant Key Stages.

Support students in developing their literacy, critical thinking, analytical and written communication skills.

Prepare pupils for assessments and examinations, where appropriate.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning needs.

Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.

Promote positive behaviour, student engagement and a strong learning culture.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications preferred.

Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Humanities.

Experience teaching in a UK secondary school is desirable.

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication, organisation and lesson-planning abilities.

A flexible, proactive approach and a genuine commitment to student progress.

An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one, and the ability to meet safeguarding requirements.
