English/Primary Teacher – SEMH Provision

Are you an experienced English or Primary-trained teacher looking for a rewarding role in a specialist SEMH setting? A highly respected alternative provision in Loughborough is seeking a dedicated and adaptable teacher to join their team from September.

This setting provides a safe, supportive environment for young people who have struggled in mainstream education due to social, emotional, and mental health challenges. The role:

• Deliver a broad and engaging English/Primary curriculum to KS3 and lower KS4 students
• Focus on literacy, communication skills, and personal development
• Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff to create a bespoke learning experience
• Build positive, consistent relationships with students to support behaviour and progress

What we’re looking for:

• QTS/QTLS or Primary PGCE with experience teaching in alternative or specialist settings
• Strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
• Flexible, creative teaching style and a calm, compassionate approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and making a difference in young people’s lives
