Supporting the Risk team and delivering on NBKI’s Business Strategy by supporting the provision of a robust second line of defence (oversight, review, and challenge). The position is responsible for building, maintaining and ongoing improvement of the risk practices and reporting of the Bank. The key focus is on financial risk, as well as using skills and expertise to support the development of risk analysis and models. 

The incumbent must assist in the below activities: 

• The person will join in all prudential aspects of the bank.
• Supporting the embedding of the bank’s risk management framework into its business operations and processes. 
• Enhancing the controls environment/practices (preventative and detective controls).
• Assist in producing key regulatory documents, including the ILAAP, ICAAP, Recovery Plan and RAS.
• Responsible for preparing regular and time-sensitive analytics, visualizations and risk reports for internal and external stakeholders (including the Board, Credit Risk Committee, Credit Approval Committee, ALCO, regulators, credit rating agencies). For example, risks inherent in Credit, Market, Operational or other Risk portfolios
• Provide forecasts and unique insights to support business and risk decision- making.
• Improving mathematical models and analysis on different areas of risk.  
• Assisting Credit Admin on various tasks daily. 
• Supports the enhancements of the bank data infrastructure and collectively works with technology to ensure system enhancements are aligned with the needs of management/risk reporting.
• Support the implementation of various projects in the bank (e.g., treasury system, loan back office, data management)
• Support the Risk team and the wider bank with system UAT testing.

• University degree (minimum UK 2:1 or equivalent - Masters level qualifications preferred) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., mathematics, accounting, economics, computer science, engineering etc.);
• MS Office suite, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Skills in data, analytics, databases, and data visualization are desired; knowledge in SQL and PowerBI.
• Previous experience in projects and UAT testing is desired.
• Knowledge and experience in programing languages is highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience of universal banking products.
