Enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher | ASAP Start

A friendly and supportive primary school in Hertfordshire is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis until July 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming school where you can make a real impact on the development and learning of young students in their crucial first year of Key Stage 1.

The Role:

• Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to a Year 1 class, ensuring students receive a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and other areas of the curriculum.


• Planning and implementing differentiated lessons to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of all students.


• Supporting students’ social and emotional development, helping them transition from Early Years to Key Stage 1.


• Providing regular feedback to students, parents, and the senior leadership team, and setting clear targets for individual progress.


• Ensuring that students develop good learning habits, including independence, focus, and resilience.


• Collaborating with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.


• Maintaining regular communication with parents to share student progress, achievements, and areas for development.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 
  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1).


• A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and experience planning and delivering effective lessons that engage and challenge students.


• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.


• Passionate about early years education and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.


• 
  Creative and enthusiastic with a strong focus on making learning fun and meaningful for young children.
