Just so you know from the outset: this is an in-person, field-based role. You’ll begin by working face to face with residents in communities across Manchester. It’s the best way to learn how a business really grows.
About our client
Moon Moments is recruiting on behalf of a growing Manchester-based client that represents one of the UK’s best-known mobile and broadband brands. As they expand across the city, they’re looking for Business Development Representatives they can train, develop and promote from within.
What you’ll learn, step by step
Stage one: the customer. Every Business Development Representative starts out in local neighbourhoods, chatting to residents about their broadband, mobile and TV and helping them find a better deal from a brand they already trust. You’ll learn to read people, build rapport fast and explain things clearly and honestly.
Stage two: the results. Once you’re confident, you’ll focus on consistency: setting goals, tracking your own performance and understanding what drives results. This is where your commission starts to grow.
Stage three: the team. As you prove yourself, you’ll start coaching new starters, sharing what’s worked for you and taking on more responsibility. [Programme stages and timescales: please confirm with the client.]
Your day to day
* Visit residents in your area and start friendly, genuine conversations
* Find out what each household needs from their broadband, mobile and TV
* Explain packages and offers simply and honestly
* Answer questions and handle any concerns with patience
* Sign up new customers and make sure they’re happy with their choice
* Join daily team briefings, coaching and product training
* Work towards personal and team goals
What your first year could look like
* Month one: fully trained, out with an experienced team member and through your four-week probation
* Months two to six: confident on your own, earning commission and building a track record
* Beyond six months: ready for more responsibility as you move through the programme, based on performance
