Environment Team Administrator - £20.18ph – Gravesend – Temporary
An exciting opportunity for an organised and detail focused Administrator to join our Environment team.
Are you an organised administrator who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, managing information and supporting a busy team?
We are looking for an Environment Team Administrator to provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to our Environment team. While the role has an environmental focus, you don't need to be an environmental expert — we're looking for someone with strong administration, communication and organisational skills who is keen to learn.
About the Role
You will be an important part of the team, helping to manage enquiries, coordinate workloads, maintain records and ensure information is stored accurately and efficiently.
The role would suit someone who enjoys a varied administrative position and is confident managing emails, updating databases, organising information and working with colleagues across a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the team’s shared inboxes, monitoring incoming emails, responding to straightforward enquiries and allocating tasks to the appropriate team members.
* Coordinate and track requests, including internal queries, external enquiries and consultations.
* Provide general administrative support across a range of Environment team projects.
* Maintain accurate electronic records and organise documents within SharePoint and team folders.
* Support the restructuring and organisation of files to ensure information is easy to find and managed consistently.
* Enter, update and upload data to relevant databases and online systems.
* Ensure environmental information and records are saved accurately and in the correct locations.
* Respond professionally and efficiently to public, external and internal enquiries.
* Help coordinate site visits and data collection activities, including arranging practical support for engineers and environmental colleagues.
* Provide administrative support for environmental licensing and assessment work, with training and guidance provided where required.
About You
You don't necessarily need previous experience in an environmental role. If you have strong administrative skills, good attention to detail and enjoy organising information, we'd like to hear from you.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has previous administrative, office or coordination experience.
* Is highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Is confident managing a busy shared inbox and prioritising incoming requests.
* Has good written and verbal communication skills.
* Is comfortable using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, databases and other digital systems.
* Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate records.
* Can communicate confidently with colleagues, members of the public and external contacts.
* Is able to work independently but enjoys being part of a supportive team.
* Is proactive, reliable and willing to learn new systems and processes.
