We have the perfect opportunity for you!Why You Should Apply:Passion for the Environment: Join a team dedicated to protecting the environment and making a tangible difference.Stability & Security: Work with one of South Wales's largest and most stable companies, ensuring a secure long-term future.Support & Development: Benefit from an internal learning and development team and mentorship from industry-leading HSE professionals.What You'll Be Doing:Environmental Communication: Effectively communicate environmental compliance matters across all levels of the organisation to ensure awareness and adherence.Audits and Inspections: Conduct monthly environmental audits and inspections, analyse results, recommend actions, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.Incident Investigation: Investigate environmental incidents such as emissions or noise complaints, collaborate with specialists and agencies to identify causes, and prevent recurrence.Performance Monitoring: Develop and review annual environmental objectives and targets, monitor performance data, and highlight improvement opportunities in EMS meetings.Regulation Updates: Stay informed about changes in environmental regulations to ensure the company's policies remain current and effective.Training and Education: Train employees on emergency response, hazardous material handling, and environmental management practices to ensure compliance.Process Compliance: Ensure all plant processes meet environmental control requirements as per various permits and licenses.Waste Management: Oversee the safe and legal handling of waste, including collection, treatment, storage, transportation, and shipping, ensuring 'Duty of Care' compliance.Internal Audits: Maintain the internal auditing schedule and conduct audits according to environmental management systems (e.g., ISO14001, EMAS).Community Engagement: Lead initiatives to engage employees and the community, promoting strong relationships through activities like charity fundraising and local projects.What You Will Need:A science-based degree.A passion for the environment.Previous auditing experience with ISO 14001 or IEMA/NEBOSH environmental qualifications is advantageous but not essential.A full driving license and access to transport.Your Package:A competitive salary of up to £30,000.A bonus of up to 5%.Company pension contribution of 5%.Cash healthcare scheme.33 days of holiday (including bank holidays).How to Apply:Click apply below or call the office and quote reference 4418 Environmental Advisor.Join our client and significantly impact the environment while advancing your career with a leading organisation.
