Role: Environmental Advisor

Company: Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor

Location: Water Orton, Birmingham

Day rate: £400 - £450 PAYE

Project: HS2

Randstad is currently looking for an Environmental Advisor to work with a well-established Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor on HS2 in Water Orton, Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

• Advising Construction teams on environmental issues
• Be familiar with the conditions of contract, as they relate to environmental issues.
• Report on the sites environmental performance against the Projects objectives and targets.
• Understand the financial implications of decisions affecting environmental issues and seek to ensure best financial outcome for business.
• Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management.

Experience & Qualities:

• Good understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems.
• Determination to see tasks through to completion, along with excellent planning and organisation skills.

Desirable:

• Member of an environmental professional body
• Good understanding and experience of environmental issues in a work environment.
