Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage and oversee all aspects of Health and Safety across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislation and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on Health and Safety legislation and best practices to all staff and management.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with current and emerging Health and Safety legislation.
• Implement and maintain systems such as Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work.
• Develop and deliver in-house training programs tailored to various job roles.
• Maintain up-to-date Health and Safety training records for all employees.
• Coordinate external training as required.
• Oversee contractor compliance and competency for services provided.
• Responsible for the continuous attainment of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
• Responsible for overseeing the company's carbon net zero programme.
• Represent the organisation during audits, inspections, and external engagements.
• Conduct internal audits, management reviews, and manage corrective action plans.
• Provide leadership and coaching to ensure managerial and supervisory staff understand their Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Support the implementation and management of environmental and Health and Safety systems across all sites.
• Deliver EHS inductions for new employees.
• Promote a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation.
• Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported and investigated appropriately.
• Participate in disciplinary procedures related to Health and Safety breaches.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety qualification
