Job Title: Environmental Officer

Location: Coleford + travel to different sites

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and internal standards
• Monitor and report on environmental performance
• Conduct site inspections and audits
• Oversee waste and resource management initiatives
• Lead training programmes to enhance environmental awareness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into operations

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or sustainability, preferably in manufacturing
• Proven ability to interpret and apply environmental regulations
• Familiarity with environmental audits and risk assessments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Postgraduate qualification in environmental management or sustainability (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor)
• Experience with ISO standards and environmental management systems
• Knowledge of carbon emissions reporting and data analysis

Technologies:

• Proficiency in environmental monitoring and reporting tools
• Experience with data collection and analysis software
• Familiarity with compliance documentation systems
