Equity Long/Short Operations $1bn Hedge Fund Launch EXCLUSIVE ROLE

CassonX are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for this award winning Hedge Fund, which specialises in Equity Long/Short strategies. Started in 2025 by two amazing individuals that boasts tenure in the industry at a globally recognised Alternatives fund, this fund is getting a lot of attention in the industry as they already boast incredible performance, an AUM of over $1bn (on track to soft close this summer at $1.5bn), and we are thrilled to be collaborating with them for their first Operations hire reporting into the COO. To be considered for the role, CassonX are ideally looking to identify someone who has Operations experience in a Equity Long/Short fund or Asset Manager, but they would entertain interest for those in Equity Prime Brokerage Middle Office, or Fund Admin/Service providers which has focus on hedge fund clients. You will have experience of dealing with trade lifecycles (including corporate actions) in a BAU or Oversight role, exposure to NAV and Valuation processes, and preference will be given to those with an appreciation for governance/compliance reporting and some experience of projects.

This is a broad, hands-on role within a lean structure, offering exposure across the full operational infrastructure of the fund, specifically surrounding trading operations, fund oversight and compliance reporting. It will suit someone who enjoys responsibility and breadth rather than a narrow, siloed remit, with the opportunity to take increasing ownership over time.
