Equity Research Analyst, Long Short Hedge Fund

A leading hedge fund is now looking to recruit an Equity Analyst into their team.

The role will join a very successful team of fund managers and analysts who have a superb track record in investing.

The role will work on the following :

1. Active Identification of investment opportunities for the fund
2. Identification of events which can trigger a gain or loss in value of a stock
3. Recommending buy and sell side trades to the Portfolio Managers
4. Carrying out detailed financial modelling and analysis of investment opportunities
5. Monitoring existing positions
6. Active member of the investment team

They are interested in people who will have a background as follows:

1. Equity analysts/ Investment Bankers/ ACAs
2. 2.1 or 1st class degree
3. AAA in A levels - probably A* in Maths
4. Real interest in financial markets
5. Technically excellent
