Estimator Position Overview

• Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for glazing projects.
• Assess material, labour, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and suppliers to gather necessary information.
• Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather and verify project information.
• Provide technical support and clarifications during the project bidding process.?

Estimator Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction estimating, specifically in aluminium and glazing.
• Strong understanding of façade systems and materials.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Logikal.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites across the UK as required.
