Estimator

Job Title: EstimatorLocation: Borehamwood, UKSalary: £60,000 - £80,000
Role Overview:
We are looking for experienced Estimators to join our team and support the pre-construction phase of projects. Your main responsibility will be to provide accurate cost estimates to ensure projects are financially viable and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse bid specifications, drawings, and project documents.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to determine materials, labour, and equipment needed.
• Prepare estimates from first principles.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to get competitive pricing.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Attend site visits to gather additional information for bids.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong background in estimating Power/Electricals/Renewable/Civils projects.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4/FIDIC contracts.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex project specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• UK driving licence required.
