The Role

Do you have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills? Are you experienced in estimating within the print and packaging industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for an Estimator to provide accurate cost estimates for tenders, projects and enquiries.

You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably. You will analyse job specifications, calculate costs, and liaise with suppliers to secure the best pricing

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
• Analyse job specifications and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective production options.
• Calculate material costs, labour, and time required for each project.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices for materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and project details.
• Update and manage estimating software and tools to ensure current and precise data.
• Work closely with the sales team to provide competitive and profitable pricing.
• Liaise with the production department to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all areas of the business.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

The Person

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the packaging industry, ideally cartons.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, processes, and market dynamics.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge folding carton production and materials.
