Estimator – Remote – Civils & Utilities

We are partnering with a ‘cradle to grave’ project delivery partner specialising in planning, commercial and project management. Due to continued growth in their team, they are seeking an experienced Estimator to aid with their civils and utilities projects.

Responsibilities

* Tender Preparation & Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates and pricing models for civils and utilities projects, with a strong focus on clean and dirty water infrastructure works such as pipelines, pumping stations, chambers, and associated groundworks.

* Document & Scope Analysis: Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation; carry out detailed take-offs, quantity measurements, and scope breakdowns to support competitive bid submissions for a leading civils and utilities contractor.

* Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive rates while maintaining strong working relationships across the supply chain.

* Risk, Opportunities & Value Engineering: Assess potential risks and opportunities within each tender, provide value-engineering input, and contribute to building commercially robust bids for water and utility frameworks.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with pre-construction, engineering, and project delivery teams to align estimates with technical requirements; prepare clear cost summaries and maintain accurate estimating records while working remotely.

Requirements

Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on water projects

Must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

Benefits

£350 - £400 per day + Remote working
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
