This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, methodical professional looking for a stable, long-term role where you can genuinely make the position your own—without the pressure of constant career ladder climbing. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, playing a key role in pricing, design coordination, and project evaluation across large-scale construction projects (£500k–£2.5m+) . Why This Role Stands Out Flexible working – no rigid 5-day office expectation Long-term, stable environment with a strong team culture Opportunity to shape processes and influence how work is done No excessive site travel – primarily office/home-based Excellent location – 60 seconds from a train station with direct links to Bristol The Role This position is focused on supporting and eventually owning elements of the estimating and design process , including: Producing take-offs and bills of quantities Working with drawings using tools like AutoCAD / Bluebeam / CAD systems Building and managing costing spreadsheets Liaising with design teams to ensure project compliance before pricing Gathering and analysing supplier/subcontractor quotes Supporting project reviews and ensuring accuracy across all estimates Contributing to improved processes and ways of working You’ll initially work alongside the Director, with scope to take on more ownership over time . What We’re Looking For We’re not looking for a “perfect CV”—we’re looking for the right person . Ideal background: Experience in construction estimating, design coordination, or similar Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD / digital measuring tools Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and technical drawings Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented Able to work independently with strong self-discipline Experience in roofing or specialist construction is beneficial—but not essential .
