Estimator

As our Estimator, you’ll take charge of interpreting project specifications, crafting precise cost estimates, and developing winning bids for cutting-edge security system installations. This role calls for sharp analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a knack for thriving under pressure to hit those critical deadlines. You’ll work hand-in-hand with project managers and engineering teams to ensure every bid is accurate and delivered on time. Beyond that, you’ll dive deep into past project data and current market trends to provide valuable insights that enhance profitability and streamline our bidding process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examine project specifications and drawings to create precise and reliable cost estimates.
• Develop comprehensive and competitive estimates covering materials, labour, and equipment.
• Analyse historical data, market fluctuations, and supply costs to shape effective pricing strategies.
• Partner closely with project managers and engineering teams to collect all necessary estimate information.
• Maintain and regularly update a detailed cost database to support future projects.
• Engage in bid meetings and tender reviews, confidently presenting proposals to clients as needed.
• Ensure all estimating activities align with company policies and procedures.
• Provide key support to the Sales team during customer meetings.

• Ideally you will have had experience working with Enterprise security systems on large scale projects.

• Strong knowledge of project cost estimating and bidding processes.
• Experience using Bluebeam or similar software.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with particularly strong experience using Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Full UK, clean driving license
