Are you an experienced estimator with a passion for delivering accurate, timely quotations and supporting the specification process in the construction sector? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established building products manufacturer known for quality, innovation, and customer focus.

The Role

As an Estimator & Specification Lead, you will play a key role in supporting pricing and technical enquiries across a portfolio of external building products, such as drainage systems, architectural features, and rainwater solutions. You'll collaborate closely with sales, customer service, and supply chain teams to ensure client needs are met from first enquiry through to order completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to pricing and specification enquiries with accuracy and professionalism
• Manage daily workflow of quotations in line with agreed priorities and KPIs
• Support internal and external sales teams with technical and commercial information
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and support database updates
• Coordinate with supply chain colleagues on product availability and lead times
• Review and log project opportunities from lead generation tools
• Attend customer sites or meetings alongside sales colleagues to secure specifications
• Handle sample requests and assist with general administrative support
• Track sector trends and report insights to management

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in estimating within a construction or building products environment
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to support specification-led sales
• Excellent communication skills—confident dealing with clients, contractors, and specifiers
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
• Competent IT skills, particularly in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
