Medlock Partners are delighted to be partnering with a Global manufacturing business in Lincolnshire to source an Estimator / Commercial Analyst to join the team.

The main focus of the role is to support the Commercial Manager with daily pricing requirements and commercial analysis - making sure that prices are set to win business at margin levels which will ensure probability targets are met.

Duties:

• Handle daily pricing enquiries from external & internal sales team

• Return customer quotations to external sales team in line with agreed target levels

• Prepare estimates on major tenders for review prior to submission

• Update and monitor customer price files for accurate up-to-date pricing

• Ensure the Pricing Tool is regularly updated with relevant data e.g material prices, machine limits, run speeds, waste levels

• Produce regular daily / weekly / Monthly reports based on business data

• Carry out analysis to identify poor margin orders, Customers and Markets and work with the external sales team to implement margin improvement

• Work with the sales team to produce commercial analysis for customer reviews

Experience and skills:

• Confident to work on own initiative and build a credible commercial knowledge

• Analytical and able to demonstrate a good understanding of mathematics and calculus

• Having good commercial acumen

• Computer literate to an advanced level in the use of Microsoft Excel

• Good understanding of other Microsoft Products - Access, SharePoint and Power BI would be an advantage.

• Able to adjust work rate to meet fluctuations in workload demands

• Good interpersonal skills
