Position Overview: As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates. You will collaborate closely with our sales, design, and project management teams to develop competitive proposals that meet client requirements while ensuring profitability for the company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your analytical skills and industry expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand scope and requirements. Quantify materials, labour, and equipment needed for each project based on established pricing guidelines and industry standards. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour costs, subcontractor bids, and overhead expenses. Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and accurate project data. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective solutions and timely delivery of materials and services. Evaluate project risks and opportunities to provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering options. Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations as needed. Monitor project budgets and assist in cost tracking and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to inform estimating practices and strategies. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Estimator in the interior fit-out or construction industry. Strong understanding of partition systems, materials, and construction methods. Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Advanced knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office suite. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
