Estimator (Metal Roofing)

A well-established specialist contractor within the roofing, cladding and building envelope sector is seeking an experienced Estimator (Metal & Flat Roofing) to join its growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with experience in metal roofing, flat roofing or related envelope systems to play a key role in securing profitable projects and supporting continued business growth.

Working closely with commercial, technical and operational teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover.

Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate and competitive estimates for metal and flat roofing projects.
Source and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Review tender documentation and identify risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities.
Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions.
Maintain estimating records, tender trackers and pricing databases.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, margins and risk.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Construction-related qualification such as Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Construction Management.
Previous experience working within a growing specialist contractor.
