Estimator - Water Capital Projects

Freelance - £450-£500 per shift
Cardiff / Hybrid Working (1-3 days from home)

Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a long-term programme of water infrastructure works across Wales.

This role offers genuine long-term security, working on a diverse portfolio of clean and wastewater capital projects as part of an established framework.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects.

* Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

* Price reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, earthworks and associated civils packages.

* Liaise with operational, engineering and commercial teams throughout the tender process.

* Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.

Requirements

* Previous estimating experience within the UK water sector.

* Strong background in civil engineering capital projects.

* Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.

* NEC contract knowledge is advantageous.
