Overview

A global investment firm, covering a diverse set of asset classes and business sectors is looking for an ETF Investment Strategist to join their team, with particular emphasis on the driving forward the active ETF agenda and how their global active strategies can be deployed to meet growing demand from clients. The firm has global reach, with clients ranging from sovereign wealth funds and corporate clients to wealth managers and high net worths.

This role will sit within the active ETF ecosystem and will have close engagement with the Head of ETF Strategy, capital markets and the investment teams.

As ETF Investment Strategist, you will support distribution, marketing and product teams to position ETF capabilities via research led content, market and competitor positioning. This includes contributing to research-driven content, helping articulate product positioning, and supporting distribution and marketing teams with analysis and materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic alignment and design of index-based and active UCITS ETFs
2. Idea generation – identify, research, and assess solution driven ETF product and business opportunities across multiple exposures and asset classes and ensuring regulatory alignment
3. Collaborate with portfolio managers, to help design and implement portfolio construction
4. Engage with clients and be able to position existing and new ETFs within macro context.
5. Acting as a spokesperson for the ETF capability.
6. Attend external ETF and other events to position the firms ETFs, and key competitive advantages, creating on-going awareness of the platform.
7. Provide timely and accurate responses to client queries and assist in the development of a suite of client engagement tools to be used to position the firms ETFs.
8. Oversee updating a broad set of product collateral including pitchbooks, flyers and sales aids.
9. Oversee key competitor analysis and market / flow intel to position existing and new products to distribution/clients.
10. Partner with marketing teams to drive regular content product and updates to support sales interactions with clients
11. Educate and train internal audiences on ETF investment strategies and products. Articulate investment philosophy, process, and performance
12. Build and maintain an expert level of knowledge on ETF vehicles and the regulatory environment in Europe

Qualifications

1. Degree level education
2. CFA or progressing towards CFA Charter beneficial
3. Strong experience in markets, ETFs, investment research or related field
4. Strong financial market knowledge across multiple asset classes
5. Knowledge of broader asset management trends and current regulations
6. Desire to learn and grow, willingness to take on a broad set of assignments
7. Proactive in nature, intellectually curious and extremely detail-oriented with a commitment to working within a team and broader global strategy group
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
9. Superior Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required, with knowledge of Bloomberg beneficial
10. European language beneficial
