About your team

Global ETFs is a strategic priority for the firm as we look to evolve our product offering and capabilities to meet the changing needs of our clients. With c.$14.5bn UCITS ETF AUM and a real focus on strategies which embed Fidelity’s research to deploy in active ETF format.

ETFs are a significant area of investment for the firm and the platform will allow us to better serve our clients by offering new capabilities and efficient access to existing capabilities. We have created a specialist ETF team that works closely with existing Fidelity distribution& investment teams. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the development of a high-profile business whilst having the resources and financial backing of a large, established asset manager. 

About your role
As ETF Strategist, you will support distribution, marketing and product teams to position ETF capabilities via research led content, market and competitor positioning. This includes contributing to research-driven content, helping articulate product positioning, and supporting distribution and marketing teams with analysis and materials.

This role is ideal for someone who has made some progress in their career and who is looking to make a difference and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Across Fidelity’s Global ETFs / ETP business key responsibilities include.

• Engage with clients and be able to position existing and new ETFs within macro context. Acting as a spokesperson for the ETF capability. 

• Attend external ETF and other events to position FIL ETFs, and key competitive advantages, creating on-going awareness of the platform. 

• Provide timely and accurate responses to client queries and assist in the development of a suite of client engagement tools to be used to position Fidelity ETFs.

• Oversee updating a broad set of product collateral including pitchbooks, flyers and sales aids. 

• Oversee key competitor analysis and market / flow intel to position existing and new products to distribution/clients. 

• Partner with marketing teams to drive regular content product and updates to support sales interactions with clients 

• Lead and coordinate periodic updates to DDQ and RFI information. 

• Working with sales and marketing to formulate product positioning and help organise and execute marketing campaigns. 

• Building successful relationships with key internal partners, including, marketing, distribution, and CRM teams. 

• Working closely with other areas of the ETF team, including Product & Capital Markets. 

About you

• Proven experience in asset management, ETFs, investment research, or a related field.

• Experience of the ETF ecosystem, including active ETFs and / or index-based investment strategies an advantage. 

• Solid understanding of financial markets and analytical tools (e.g., Bloomberg or similar).

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas clearly.

• Experience of presenting and speaking to clients and key stakeholders. 

• A strong understanding of financial markets and knowledge of financial tools such as Bloomberg. 

• A team player, who will be able to work within FIL’s overall culture and fit with its entrepreneurial but collaborative style 

• Progress toward CFA or relevant qualifications beneficial but not required

• European language beneficial but not required
