eTrading Developer - Java, Strat

Leading investment bank is hiring experienced and pragmatic eTrading Strategist / Developer to work on their Rates and etrading platform working within a global team. This is a business facing opportunity and you need excellent Java skills, the ability to think in systems and be passionate about simple systems.

What You'll Do

• Build and optimize algorithmic and execution strategies for Rates products
• Develop robust low-latency Java systems and infrastructure for trading
• Work closely with traders, quants, and technologists to drive business outcomes
• Own and deliver production-ready code in a fast-paced environment
• Constantly refine performance, usability, and resilience of our platforms
• Think like an engineer and problem-solver: simplify, clarify, improve
• Engage directly with user feedback and market behavior

Technical Requirements

• Strong Java development experience (low-latency/high-performance systems)
• Solid grasp of systems design, data flow, and clean architecture
• 5+ years in eTrading or similar fast-moving tech environment
• Understanding of market microstructure and electronic execution
• Bonus: KDB, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and multiple asset classes

Business Understanding

• Ideally, exposure to Fixed Income, Rates, or eTrading
• You don't need deep banking experience, but understanding the flow of risk and pricing is key
