E-Trading Team Lead - C# / Pricing

An opportunity has arisen for a E-Trading Team Lead with expertise in C# and pricing platforms to join a globally esteemed FS firm based in London. This position requires guiding a highly capable team responsible for the architecture and advancement of a sophisticated, resilient pricing platform integral to Rates/FX markets. You will assume a central role in determining technical trajectory of this critical system, engaging closely with traders and quant analysts/developers globally.

What you'll do:

• Provide authoritative technical guidance and oversight in the design, development, and continual enhancement of a unified pricing platform supporting Rates and FX e-Trading operations.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, traders, and quantitative analysts to ensure comprehensive understanding of business requirements and their translation into robust technical solutions.
• Interpret intricate business needs to facilitate ideation sessions that inspire refined approaches to platform functionality.
• Uphold organisational policies and standards throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring rigorous compliance in every deployment.
• Recruit, mentor, and cultivate new team members to foster an environment characterised by supportiveness and high achievement.
• Communicate project delivery status, key milestones, and progress updates with clarity to stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
• Establish strong relationships across technology teams to ensure alignment with broader business processes and strategic objectives.
• Supervise the implementation of both major projects as well as ongoing enhancements or maintenance within the platform's development pipeline.
• Promote best practices in software engineering while nurturing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement among your colleagues.

What you bring:

• Demonstrable experience leading the design and delivery of high-availability distributed platforms within Front Office Pricing environments.
• A proven ability to manage small teams of technical specialists with empathy, providing clear direction whilst encouraging professional growth.
• Extensive background in server-side C# development applied specifically within financial services or trading systems contexts.
• Expertise in FX or Rate products acquired through direct involvement in relevant markets or technology projects.
• A collaborative approach when engaging directly with traders and research quants to understand requirements and deliver value-added solutions.
• Highly developed multi-stakeholder arbitration skills enabling effective balancing of diverse perspectives.
