European Freight Coordinator

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (with a 1-hour lunch break); additional hours may be required depending on business needs

• Coordinate groupage, part-load, and full-load road freight movements across Europe, including UK imports/exports and cross-trade within the EU.
• Manage short sea FCL shipments to and from the UK.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers and suppliers, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Oversee the full shipment lifecycle—from collection to final delivery—ensuring all customer expectations are met.
• Prepare and issue accurate, competitive quotations while maintaining profitability and meeting transit time requirements.
• Follow up on quotations to convert opportunities into bookings.
• Accurately input all shipment data, revenue, and costs into the internal transport management system.
• Collaborate with the customs team to ensure timely and compliant customs documentation.
• Generate sales invoices promptly and assist with resolving any account queries.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet team targets and deadlines.

• Previous experience in European freight forwarding (road and/or sea).
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with freight management systems (experience with Verso Waves is a plus).
